Our little labour of love: That Flipping Game, a mobile game for Android, is now live on the Google Play store!

If you don’t have an Android device, That Flipping Game can also be played on a PC, through Google Play Games beta.

The perfect game when you have a few minutes here and there, That Flipping Game is a chill little card-flipping memory game. Very short, and very replayable.

What’s most exciting to us about this game is what isn’t apparent on the surface. Nearly every inch of this game is homemade by us, from scratch. Neil wrote all the code for the game engine to make it run. Kate wrote the initial gameplay code, and created all the sounds and all the visuals — right down to the title font.

Are there faster, easier ways to make a game? Absolutely. But making things from scratch creates opportunties to learn and grow, and gives you a deeper appreciation for what goes into the things we sometimes take for granted, including games!
