What We Do

Try. Learn. Share. Repeat.

Maker’s Dozen™ is an independent Canadian maker studio, run by Kate and Neil from their log cabin in Quinte West.

We focus on producing goods and services that grow wonder and understanding of the natural world.

Maker’s Dozen “makes” in as many ways as possible. Past and present products/workshops include beginner needlefelting; needlefelted ornaments and kits made with local roving (sheep and alpaca); natural inks and dyes; greeting cards; woodburned and linocut prints; eco-friendly household products; treeplanting; wildflower and dye gardens; identifying trees, tracks and scat; intro to robotics; intro to hand tools and DIY; workshops in Raspberry Pi and beginner electronics; and nature-themed mini-games for smartphones. There’s not much we’re not interested in!
